JUNE VIBES

Think like a Queen feels to be the vibration of June.  Along with focused intention and having your eye on the bigger picture.

It’s the beginning of a new month. The previous months have been hard going for many. Lots of energy clearing, releasing and healing integration going on. This month brings in new energy. Somewhat lighter. Somewhat more expansive than what we’ve been used to so far this year.

With this energy brings new opportunities to venture to the places that you have never been before. This will require courage, focus + the willingness to step out of your comfort zone. In fact, the phrase that I am hearing is:

Feel the Fear + Do it Anyway

Also, the name of an awesome book that I read on my hols many years ago. If you have not read it then I suggest that you check it out. I am sure that you won’t regret it and you can thank me later.

Let’s get back to June……..

This month it will be a good idea to connect to the bigger picture. Posing the questions:

Are you now able to see the bigger picture more clearly? Are pieces of the puzzle falling into place?

Where the answer is No – What are you going to do about it? What do you need to change? Where the answer is Yes – Celebrate and take note of what is supporting you to stay in alignment.

Yet, whether the answer is hell yeah or absolutely fucking not, the guidance remains the same: Develop your ability to go within, connect with your soul and trust. Trust the guidance that it brings forth. Those hunches. Those signs. Those aha moments. Those times of synchronicity.


JUNE ACTIONS 

Tune into your heart space. Hear what your mind has to say. Then give yourself permission to tune out of your head and into your heart. Ask for guidance on a particular question or burning issue. How does it resonate with your heart?

Be grateful for where you are and what you are learning. Take baby steps in order to remain consistent.

As a rebel, workaholic and nurturer I am prone to pushing the limits, working into the wee hours and giving freely of myself to others. And that can mean that I am way too hard on myself.

The pressure to achieve and be all things to all people can often take its toll. This is when the proverbial usually hits the fan.

Think meltdown, frustration, stress, headaches and all the things that come along with not making my self-care a priority.

Having lived that life for far too many years as a full-time teacher I reached a point where enough was enough. No longer was I willing to keep giving and hustling at the expense of my own mental health and wellbeing.

Something had to change!

That change was prioritising my self-care and wellbeing. Making intentional choices about my life and how I live it, rather than running myself ragged on autopilot mode.

Making a change like this was a challenge at first. The same thoughts of “I should be doing more” and “I am not doing enough” circled in my mind. Yet, I learnt that when those thoughts arose that it was my cue to:

Press the pause button.

Taking the time to listen to my body, step away from the noise and distractions to remind myself that I AM WORTHY of receiving the things that I give to others so freely.

And guess what? If I am worthy of receiving then you sure are too.


BEGIN YOUR OWN SELF-CARE PRACTICE

If you are still reading then you must be ready or, at least, curious about how starting your own self-care practice. So, let me share with you my personal inner and beauty self-care practices to get you started.

Use them, apply them and tweak them to suit your needs. Then enjoy putting yourself first and making your mental health, as well as your wellbeing more of a priority.

INNER BEAUTY SELF-CARE PRACTICES

GRATITUDE LIST

Gratitude helps you to put things into perspective. Gently guiding your thoughts away from the hustle and bustle of daily life or all of the things that are or could go wrong. Gratitude reminds you of what is going well in your life and the amazing possibilities that are available to you.

FOCUS ON YOUR HEART SPACE

Lie on your bed, close your eyes and place your fingertips on your heart space. Imagine that your breath is flowing into and out of your heart space with ease. Believe it or not, this calms your body and your mind, as you are shifting your focus. In doing so you are opening and clearing your heart space. A space that we often close down when we feel stressed, frustrated, angry, hurt or resentful.

FUCK IT‘ LIST

Begin your day or your self-care routine by getting your thoughts and feelings out of your body and onto the paper. This is a great way of letting go of what is weighing you down before attempting to begin a practice such as heart space breathing or meditation, eliminating some of those possible distractions. Another beautiful variation of this is the ‘Morning Pages‘ where you begin your day free-writing and is a great way to connect you to Source energy.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A GOOD BOOK

This doesn’t have to be a book about spirituality, beauty or mindfulness. It could simply be a good fictional romance novel or whatever tickles your fancy. Just take the time to turn off ALL distractions, curl up and totally lose yourself in that book. Here are some of my favourite books for the soul.

ENERGY CLEARING

Whilst working in a particularly challenging work environment this became crucial to my daily routine. As soon as I got home from work I would race to my room to complete this ritual of clearing away the energy of the day. I would use self Angelic Reiki, cord cutting meditations with AA Michael or channelling white light through my chakras. It’s a beautifully relaxing way of detoxing from the day’s events. Just remember to spend some time in gratitude calling in what you want to experience for the remainder of your evening or day.

JUST SAY “NO”

What I came to realise is that a big part of self-care is about saying “no“. Saying “no” to what doesn’t resonate with you, will deplete your energy and just doesn’t feel good at all. When you say “no” you free yourself from the obligation of doing something that really doesn’t resonate with you and leaving less chance for you feeling overwhelmed as a result of it.

OUTER BEAUTY SELF-CARE PRACTICES

PAINT YOUR NAILS

Or have someone else paint them for you. The great thing about changing the colour of your nails is that there is a nail colour for every single mood so you can choose a colour to reflect the mood that you want to experience at that time, eg: feminine, bold, sexy, mysterious….. Also, having a manicure is just such a relaxing experience that will take your mind off everything and give you beautifully manicured nails.

AN EPSOM OR HIMALAYAN SALT BATH

Reap the benefits of a long, hot bath with Epsom or Himalayan Salts. Both of which are known for the detoxifying and de-stressing properties. Not only is it great for your skin it is also great for leaving you feeling relaxed too.

MAKE YOUR OWN BODY SCRUB

I’ve been making sea salt and olive oil body scrubs since I was a teen in High School (and that’s a bloody long time ago now) and I love it. Sea Salt helps to deeply cleanse your pores, balance oil production and get rid of the bacteria that causes breakouts. It works wonders on ingrown hairs too and mixed with olive oil it’ll leave your skin silky smooth.

MOVE YOUR BODY

Stress, trauma, guilt, resentment and memories. We hold all of that in our bodies and over time it builds up and manifests itself in many different ways, including excess weight, anxiety, and even physical pain and poor posture. Getting that energy moving again through movement allows the energy to flow freely through your body, which helps you to feel energised and relieves some of that tension. Exercise, be it a YouTube dance or yoga video or joining a local class, down to taking a walk or jog in the park are all great ways to get your body moving. It also helps to refocus your mind too.

TRY OUT A NEW LOOK

Personally, I believe that makeup should be fun, expressive and enhance your natural beauty. So, why not have some play time and fun with your make-up collection. Try out a new shade of lipstick or a different colour on your eyelids to see how you feel. Lose yourself in having fun changing your look and enhancing what God gave you.


ARE YOU READY TO START MAKING YOUR SELF-CARE A PRIORITY?

If so, which practice will you begin with first? Decide a practice that resonates with you and make yourself promise to practise this on a daily basis. Maybe start with 7 days of doing this self-care practice then add to it, tweak it or keep going with it for another 10 days and so forth.

Don’t be discouraged if you fall off the wagon. I do frequently. Just cut yourself some slack and resolve to get back to it a while later or the next day.

It also helps to get yourself into the habit of listening to and responding to your body too. Your body will often send you signals that is time to slow down and your thoughts will certainly do the same, as mentioned before. It’s up to you to make the choice to take action and ask for help if you need to make your self-care time a reality.

Learn 3 simple steps to increase your intuition

From a young age, I knew that I was able to see and feel things that not everybody else could. That ‘knowing‘ that a person wasn’t a very nice person would cause me to back away from them and cry if I was told that I had to be around them. As I got older that sense of ‘knowing‘ got stronger in the form of psychic dreams where I would see things before they happened or simply having that strong gut instinct when something was amiss.

No doubt this is something you’d expect from an intuitive with clairvoyant, clairsentient and clairaudient abilities. However, for many years I struggled to trust my intuition which would often lead me down the road of pain, heartache and drama.

My experience of having this strong sense of ‘knowing‘ is something that’s familiar to many people. As is that feeling of not knowing how to trust your intuition when it rises up to your attention. So, in this article, I’ll share with you my top suggestions for learning how to trust and make better use of your intuition.


WHAT IS INTUITION?

I consider the intuition to be the voice of the soul. With your soul being that all-knowing aspect of ourselves that guides us to experience, learn and embody in this lifetime. In order to sufficiently guides us, it speaks to us through us through our intuition.

You may often hear intuition referred to as our internal guidance system because the wisdom and guidance it brings us comes from within.


HEAD + HEART: LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO

I view your head as being that more logical part of ourselves. That aspect of ourselves that likes to keep us safe yet has a funny way of going about it. One thing it does it remember all of the times when you’ve tried and failed, bringing them back into your consciousness when you try something new or similar to that which you’ve tried before. Therefore you could say that it tends to be a little fearful at times, especially in comparison to the heart.

In contrast, I see the heart as more of rebel and it’s connected to your intuition. It seeks love, connection, expansion, adventure and new experiences. It’s that place where you experience that subtle pull toward something or someone, yet don’t know why. That place of knowing.

As you can imagine the way that they communicate is different with one feeling fearful or restrictive and the other feeling joyful or expansive. You tend to find that the heart steps forward first (that initial idea or decision to try something new) and the mind follows, usually with the reason why the new course of action isn’t a good idea.

Neither is right or wrong. It just depends on what you’re working towards or what you are giving yourself permission to experience.


THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR BODY

Our feelings and emotions will frequently manifest in the body. I recall a time when I started a new job and by midday, I had a headache and was throwing up. Some would say it’s down to nerves, yet the horrible time and experiences that I had at this workplace tell a different story. Also, the fact that I also would get a sudden headache or bout of sickness when working in an environment that was not right for me.

Headaches and sickness are my body’s way of saying that something is amiss. On the contrary when something or someone is a good fit for me I feel a little glow around my heart. So, listening to your body works for the positive and negative.

Your emotions and body may speak to you in a different way. One way to learn the language of your body is to become more aware, doing so by keeping a reflective journal of your interactions with others and in different places. Jot down how felt and any sensations in your body. Over time you are likely to notice patterns and this will help you to understand what your body is communicating with you. You may even find that as you think of key people you’ve encountered they remind you of other people you’ve known or you have an image of them come to mind. How you felt about that person or your experience of them can be a sign of how this new person is going to be in your life.

So you can see that taking the time to reflect in this way can bring much to the surface that supports you in your daily life and decision making.


DISCONNECT FROM ALL OF THAT NOISE

Learning to trust your intuition takes practise as you need to familiarise yourself with how it communicates with you. Therefore, taking time out to step away from the noise so that you can practise hearing the messages is key. Meditation is the obvious way to do that and it may require you to give yourself permission to hear the messages. If it resonates ask the Archangels Raziel or Chamuel to support you in connecting to your heart space and being open to receiving messages. Allow yourself to be quiet and still, allowing images and words to drift in and out of your mind’s eye. Keep a pen and paper close by so that you can jot down anything that really resonates with you. Do this often enough and you’ll increase that connection to your intuition, as well as learning it’s language inside out.

Scorpio ‘Pink’ Full Moon: Heal + Transform

On the 29th/30th of April we have a full ‘pink’ moon in Scorpio. Hailed as a moon that is offering inside out transformation that opens the door to becoming the best version of you and manifesting those seeds of desire that you’ve planted. How can you personally make the most of this energy? Let’s find out as we explore the energy of this Full ‘Pink’ Moon in Scorpio.


A LITTLE BACKGROUND TO THIS FULL MOON

This Full Moon is meant to stir things up. Stirring it up and bringing them out into the open (or, at least for you to see) in order to begin that ripple effect of change + transformation. Something that is very much needed if you are to uplevel, become your best self and live a life that you love. Rather than a life that you pretend to love when you post happy pics on Instagram.

It’s meant to really wake you up to the truth that you’ve been avoiding, ignoring or pushing deep below the surface.

Much of what it’s stirring up are feelings, emotions, thoughts and beliefs related to Yourself. Particularly those that relate to how you show up in the world and in important relationships. Some of these things might include:

  • Jealousy
  • Envy
  • Greed
  • Neediness
  • Fakeness

Being a karmic year 11/2 you’re likely to find that what is coming up for you are things that have been plaguing you for most of your life. Those pesky repetitive patterns, cycles and behaviours that you keep you stuck in victim mode or in your comfort zone.

Are you ready to see + release them?

Yet, on the flip side Scorpio Full Moon energy is sexy and mysterious, as well as deeply intuitive too. All of which are energies that can be put to optimal use at this time, especially when navigating the beautiful world of romantic relationships.

On the other hand, maybe you need to remember how to be more sexy, mysterious in your daily life, whilst using the gift of intuition to feel you way into situations.

Which is it to be for you?

Scorpio Full Moon’s are a time for deep cleansing and healing. A real releasing of the things that stand in opposition of your transformation. Yet, when embraced can have the impact of leading you to the breakthrough and transformation that you’ve been waiting for.


WHY SHOULD I TAKE NOTICE OF THE FULL MOON?

You don’t have to take notice of the Full Moon and many people don’t. Blissfully living their lives unaware of the emotions, feelings and energy that comes up for and around them at this time.

Yet, for those who are willing it’s the optimal time for purging, letting go and forgiveness. All key ingredients for soul growth, personal development, healing and uplevelling in life.

Full Moon’s are like the harvest point of the moon cycle. The point where you can reap the rewards of the seeds of desire and intention that you have planted. Where those crops of desire are not ready to be harvested it becomes a time of reflection, introspection and release. A time when you use the gift of awareness to support you as you go within and identify:

  • What is ready to be released
  • Who you can forgive

This can make it an emotional time, especially for those who are moon sensitive, lightworkers/warriors, psychic, water signs or in the midst of a soul/spiritual awakening. You guys will most likely feel all the feels when the moon is full because the moon governs our emotions.

When the moon is Full it’s bright and it literally shines a light in and on the darkness. This is why you will often find that buried thoughts, feelings, memories and shadow parts of the self are more apparent under the Full Moon. These things become more obvious when our soul is ready for us to release those aspects that are standing in the way of us awakening, progressing or just simply moving on.

How will you respond to what’s coming up for you at this time?


WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

As Jay-Z said you can’t heal what you don’t reveal. The Scorpio Full Moon is doing a lot of revealing so you’re job is to be Aware.

Notice what is coming up for you at this time and over the last few days because this stuff is the dominant energy that you bring to every table that you sit at. It introduces in real time, through text and over social media, even if you haven’t been aware of it. This energy is contributing to and creating your current reality. Leading you to repeat the same patterns with different faces and in different places.

Some key questions to ask yourself might include:

  • What is ready to be released?
  • What isn’t really helping me to manifest what I want?
  • What am I going to do about it?
  • What is helping me to expand, heal and uplevel?
  • What are/is the lessons here?

Also, it helps to have that perspective that life is happening for you not to you. Just sit with that for a moment and notice how empowering that feels.

Modern woman’s guide to raising your vibe with crystals

I love this excerpt from an interview with Victoria Forster because she sums up crystal healing in such a simplistic way. Which is perfect because working with crystals is simple and, in my own experience, it is the simplest way to raise your vibration, whilst adding a little beauty and sparkle to your everyday life. However, with the multitude of books, courses, websites and products out there you would think that incorporating crystals into your everyday life is rocket science when really it doesn’t have to be.


HOW I GOT STARTED + BANISHING A CRYSTAL MYTH

When I first discovered crystals I was about 7 years old and was on a school trip to Chislehurst Caves. Whilst everybody else was buying novelty pencils and rubbers I was choosing the best Amethyst and Clear Quartz crystals for mum and me. Yet, it wasn’t until I was in university that I started to really get into them.

Beginning with using Rose Quartz to banish crippling period pain, boosting my confidence and attracting attention from male admirers. At the time, it was non-intentional and totally experimental. By that, I mean that I wasn’t setting an intention for how to work with my crystal and had no idea about the properties of Rose Quartz. However, the little Rose Quartz that I had borrowed from my mum, worked for me in the most beautiful, loving, intuitive and miraculous way.

For me, that is the beauty of crystals: They know exactly what you need, even if you don’t and are not even sure what to do in order to connect with them. This is because crystals will respond to your most dominant vibration (your energy). Lifting, balancing and giving you what you need energetically in order to move forward with a little more ease and grace. Therefore, I always feel that the key things you need when working with crystals are an open heart and an open mind, as well as a healthy dose of detachment.


CLEANSING YOUR CRYSTALS

It is important to cleanse your crystals before you use them. Even if they have been tucked away in your crystal box for some time, it is wise to perform a simple cleansing ritual because crystals store energy. Therefore, it is possible that your crystal may have absorbed energy that may not resonate with you.

There are many schools of thoughts, methods and suggestions for cleaning your crystals. Yet the ones that I subscribe to can be performed with ease and do not require lots of preparation or additional effort. Try one or all of the following and see which one floats your boat:
#1: Water

This is where I started, holding my crystals under running water with the intention of clearing the energy, and sometimes I would soak the crystals in water overnight.
#2: Sage

Pass the crystal through the smoke of Sage and saying an affirming prayer to clear the energy of the crystal. Sage has been used since ancient times, believed to remove negative energy and restore energetic balance within a space.
#3: Prayer and intention

Hold the crystal in your hand or by your heart and say a prayer of intention, speaking directly from your heart. One prayer that I have come across recently and absolutely love is this one from Energy Muse:

“I ask that the highest vibration of love+ light connect with my highest self to clear all unwanted energy + previous programming. I command these crystals to _____________. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

People often ask me how often they should be cleansing their crystals. My personal stance is that I clear the energy of the crystals each time I am working with it for something new. This way I clear all previous programming and any unwanted energy. In saying that, I also trust my intuition and the connection that I have with that crystal. Therefore, if I feel that the energy of the crystal is getting a little heavy or that it feel ‘weak’, for want of a better word, I clear the energy using the method that I feel drawn to at that time.

Despite the fact that I have completed crystal healing and reading courses, my interaction with my crystals is still based on my intuition and personal experiences. Sometimes I feel that this is best because the crystal is working with you and your energy, so what works for others may not necessarily work with you.


CRYSTAL MUST-HAVES

Choosing the right crystal for you tends to be a very intuitive process whereby the crystal will often choose you, connecting with your vibration. However, I have found over the years that there are crystals that I simply cannot live without and that I return to over again to support me in different areas of my life. These crystals are:
#1: Clear Quartz
Crystal all-rounder and tension reliever. It can also be used to amplify the energy of your intention + other crystals.
#2: Howlite
This crystal will bring a wave of calm when you are feeling a little stress or overwhelmed. It’s a great meditation companion.
#3: Rose Quartz
The infamous stone of love is a healing and soothing stone. Shows you your barriers to love + aids sleep.
#4: Black Tourmaline
A stone of protection that grounds and shields you from energy, especially negative energy, that’s not yours.
#5: Selenite
Your guardian angel in crystal form. This crystal cleanses your energy, unblocking that stuck energy + bringing a sense of calm.
#6: Citrine
More commonly known as the abundance stone as it can be used for manifesting abundance. Promotes confidence and positivity in the wearer.


INCORPORATING CRYSTALS INTO YOUR DAILY LIFE

There are many ways to incorporate crystals into your daily life and it really doesn’t have to be complicated. One of the most effective and easy ways that I find for doing this is wearing them in my bra. Although, you can carry your crystals in your pocket or handbag, as well as keeping them on your desk, altar, under your pillow or in a crystal grid. You may even want to hold a crystal in your hand whilst you are meditation or visualising in order to amplify the energy of your intention. This will be supportive in getting you in energetic alignment.


TAKE YOUR POWER BACK AT WORK

I’ve been fortunate enough to work in every single career field that I have wanted to, overcoming opposition, challenge and many nay-sayers. In addition to this, I’ve incorporated crystals into my law of attraction rituals and prayers, giving me a little energy boost and alignment.

I have also used crystals when I was having a hard time at work, especially when working in negative environments or people where it was essential that I stay in my own energy. Two crystals that I find really helps with this are Selenite and Black Tourmaline, incorporating them into my energy protection practice and wearing them in my bra whilst at work. What is Angelic Reiki?

Angelic Reiki is an alternative healing system that can be used as a tool for your personal and self-development. The beauty of Angelic Reiki, as I have personally experienced it, is that it gets to the root of the problem or issue. It also brings balance, harmony and a sense of wellbeing to your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

The healing system itself was channelled to the late Kevin Core from 2002 until 2003 via Archangel Metatron. With it being described as the “Healing for our time” because the healing goes to “straight to our truth”.

During a session, the practitioner will hold the space for your healing. This means that they act as a bridge between you and the Angelic Kingdom, so that the healing from the Angels + Ascended Masters can be received by you. The practitioner is not the healer, instead, it’s a partnership between you and the Angelic Kingdom. This healing can be received in-person (sometimes described as hands-on) or at a distance. How this is possible? Energy, the Angels, Ascended Masters and God are not bound by time and space.


WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF ANGELIC REIKI?

The benefits of Angelic Reiki are personal and individual to each person. Some of the benefits that I have known Angelic Reiki to offer include:

  • Getting to the root of an issue
  • Past life healing
  • Dislodging stuck energy and emotions from the body
  • Relaxation and stress relief
  • Providing an uplifting and energizing experience
  • Enhancing intuitive abilities
  • Offering pain relief

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING AN ANGELIC REIKI SESSION?

The person receiving Angelic Reiki remains fully clothed, either sitting or lying down throughout the session. If this is an in-person session I will place my hands on your shoulders or back, the energy will then flow to you. You may or may not notice that after a short while, usually within 5 minutes, I will remove my hand from your should or back. At this point, a connection has been established and I am able to step back to the Angels get down to the healing.

The sessions can last anything from 40 minutes up to an hour, although it’s totally guided by the Angels so may be slightly longer or shorter. Either way, rest assured that you will receive the healing that’s appropriate for you at that time.

During the session, you may find that you fall asleep or go into a deep meditative state. It’s also totally possible for you to see images clairvoyantly, just as you would if you were dreaming or in meditation. So, don’t be surprised if this happens. You may even find that you feel nothing at all. Your experience will be personal to you and what you are ready to experience. Yet know that the healing is happening.

If you opt for a distant healing I will make the connection via your name and hold the intention for your healing in the exact same way I would if the healing was in-person.


WHAT CAN I EXPECT BEFORE + AFTER A SESSION?

Whether you are having a distant or in-person session you will receive a client questionnaire to complete. This forms the basis of in-person consultation. If you are receiving distant Angelic Reiki I welcome a call prior to the session.

If you are receiving distant Angelic Reiki you will also receive guidance notes, which includes aftercare advice and a meditation as some people like to relax at the point when they know the healing is taking place.

After the session is a time for a debrief. If you are receiving a distant healing you will receive an email from me and this may or may not include any guidance that came through. Either way, I am checking in with you and it’s a perfect opportunity for you to give feedback on the experience for you. This is also the case for in-person sessions where you are giving time to acclimatise to your surroundings before we have our post-healing chat.


WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A HEALING?

The effects of Angelic Reiki will continue to take place for up to 21 days after the treatment has taken place. This is your body continuing to restore itself back into harmony and balance. At the end of the 21 days, I always advise checking in with me just to update on your experience and the healing process.


HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL YOU NEED?

Some people opt to receive Angelic Reiki on a monthly basis, incorporating it into their self-care routine. Whereas, others feel drawn to it at certain points in their life. With that in mind, the number of sessions required depends on you, as with the effects of the session. This could be based on how willing you are to embrace change or the truth, how long you’ve been affected by the issue/condition and how willing you are to do the work to achieve change/desired results.

How to discover the personal meaning behind the signs you keep seeing

Spirit, the Angels, the Universe, your guides…..will often ‘speak’ to you through signs and symbols. It could be that you see repeating number sequences (1111, 444, 1818), animals (owls, butterflies), white feathers or 5p coins on the ground wherever you go. Whereas these signs and symbols will have universal meaning, they also can form part of your own personal dialogue and connection with spirit, the universe or whatever you subscribe to. Popping up in your life in order to order to offer you what you need as you move through your normal daily life.


SIGNS + SYMBOLS: MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Like you I also see repeated number sequences or ask for signs when making important decisions. However, I’ve also found from giving countless psychic card readings is that during a reading different colours, numbers, symbols and animals mean specific things to me. Therefore, when I see these symbols, colours etc in a reading I instantly know what I am being guided to and have the opportunity to work with spirit to probe deeper. So, you could say that it’s like having a personal language system/set of codes that enables me to understand what they are communicating with me.

On noticing how this worked in readings I also realised that this is also the case when I see signs and symbols in my daily life. Yes, these symbols have universal meanings, yet they also mean something personal to me. For example, seeing white butterflies means that my nan is close by and wants me to know I’ll be alright. I saw them a lot as soon as she passed and they always left me with a feeling of being loved and looked over, no matter what. By listening to my body and noticing how the sign made me feel I developed my own, personal understanding of what this sign meant for me.

Could this also be something that you can learn to do too?


KNOWING WHAT THE SIGNS MEAN TO YOU

I believe that you too can learn to understand the significance of the repeated signs and symbols that come up for you. It’s just a matter of time, commitment and practice. Some things you might find helpful in doing this include:

1. Google it

I’ve put the most obvious suggestion first because it’s actually something that many don’t consider to do, preferring for others to tell them what their sign and symbols mean. This is fine yet when you search these things out yourself, you will be guided to the “answer” that is most appropriate for you at that time. Also, by doing your own search you can check in with yourself and decide what resonates with you. What really hits home and gives you that sense of “Aha, I get it“, whilst being able to eliminate the rest.

2. Thoughts + words

Begin to notice what you tend to be thinking and saying when you notice these signs. Notice whether or not your words and thoughts are positive, fuelled by negative thinking or driven by the ego. If it’s the latter then maybe the signs are guiding you away from fear and the egoic mind, right back to love. However, if the words and thoughts are aligned with love then keep in mind that you could be being guided to keep up the good work and honouring you for doing your best to align with the energy of love and the Creator.

3. Alignment + Confirmation

Often these signs and symbols will find their way to you when you are in your element. Totally absorbed and engaged in an activity that is lighting you up from within. Therefore, when you take a momentary break to look up from what you’re doing the sign you see could be a nod from above to say “You’re aligned!” It may also be confirmation about something that you have asked for guidance on, eg: What is my purpose? What work should I be doing? Is this guy for me? Is this project/idea ready to be worked on?

4. Feelings + Your body

Notice how you were feeling when you noticed your repeated sign. Are you always seeing the sign when you feel this way? For example, you may loathe your job and feel the soul call to get on wriggle on to find new work. You might be asking for guidance on this and find that your sign pops up every time you feel super bored, anxious or crappy. Could this be the answer that you are seeking? Confirmation that it’s time to start looking elsewhere. Maybe you see a white feather when you are feeling low and thinking of someone in particular. Seeing that white feather may bring on a feeling of comfort, peace, love or relief. Could it be that this your sign for reminding you that you’re loved, guided or being watched over. How you feel when you see the sign, particularly if the feeling resonates within your body (butterflies, headache, warm feeling within), can be an indicator of what spirit is wanting to communicate with you at that time.


ARE YOU READY TO LEARN WHAT UNIVERSAL SIGNS SPECIFICALLY, MEAN FOR YOU?

Just begin with noticing when you see the signs and how you feel, either after you have seen them or before. Take notes and spend time reflecting and looking over your notes to see if there are any patterns.

As mentioned be aware of where the feelings resonate in your body. Those who have followed me for years know that I’ve long since talked about listening to your body because it can reveal so much about yourself that you may not be aware of. Your intuition will often speak to you through your feelings and this is translated by the body, especially when you override or suppress your feelings. Pay attention.

Take your time and try not to get frustrated if it all feels like gobbledygook at first. By all means, use the people and resources available to you, yet also learn to trust your own inner guidance. I’ve found that in doing so you also build that strong relationship with self whilst nurturing your relationship with Source, the Creator or whoever you believe in. This is a relationship that may take time and commitment to establish. Yet it’s so worth it.

3 ways I use writing as a spiritual ritual for manifesting + healing

I’ve always loved to write. Even as a little girl I would often be found reading, drawing or writing. For me, it’s always been a natural way for me to express my self and give voice to whatever I was feeling on the inside.

My love for writing led me to take English at A-level and earn a BA Hons in Journalism, as filling up countless diaries with my thoughts and ideas. So, it’s no surprise that writing has become my spiritual practice of choice. Yep, I consider it a spiritual practice and here’s why.


WRITING AS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE

Yoga, meditation and prayer all pave the way for us to clear our mind, find peace within and connect to the wisdom of the soul which can elude us in our daily lives. Putting pen to paper does exactly the same for me and I often find, as many of my clients who have email readings with me know, divine guidance from spirit flows through me to the pen and onto the paper. It’s for this reason that I incorporate into my life, complimenting my daily spiritual life and life in general.


DIFFERENT WRITING RITUALS

#1 Raise your vibration: Gratitude
Studies have shown that gratitude can increase your happiness by 10%. Although it can feel contrived at first and a struggle in the midst of chaos, you have it within you to change your attitude to one of gratitude. It just requires a conscious effort on your part. In my own life, I’ve used gratitude to manifest opportunities that I thought I’d missed and bringing energetic healing to crap situations.

To bring this writing ritual into your life you could begin by writing 5 things that you are grateful for, doing this at the beginning and end of your day. Within that list include yourself, expressing gratitude for your gifts, talents, body and personality traits.

Use this writing ritual to bring and shine a light on what’s working well in your life, your desires and yourself.


#2 Healing: Forgiveness
The one practice that every single teacher will recommend that you practice in order to release yourself from reliving the pain of the past and any feelings that you hold about someone that keeps you a prisoner of your past.

Writing a letter of forgiveness to yourself or someone from the past gives you the opportunity to release everything that you have been holding onto inside. All those feelings and words that you haven’t been able to say to the other person and have been storing and carrying it within your body. Where appropriate apologise and state why you are seeking forgiveness. Closing by giving thanks and wishing them well.


#3 Manifesting: Scripting
I’ve been using this technique for a while, in fact, I first started doing it for fun as a little girl (see below) and have used it to manifest new jobs, as well as improve relationships with challenging people.

The technique itself is relatively simple yet requires you to really connect to your heart and the feeling of manifesting your soul desires into reality, to ensure the best possible result. When you script you are basically writing about the life that you desire to live as if you are already living that life.

What’s beautiful about this particular technique is that you are working with that creative part of yourself, as well as your heart and soul. Bringing all three together in order to align with the Universe and the energy of your soul’s desires. Magic at its best, don’t you think?

The key to scripting for manifesting is to enjoy the process of imagining, rather than getting hung up and stressed out about when or how it is going to happen. By doing this you’re ensuring that you are manifesting with love and positivity, rather than from a place of fear.

Practise scripting with your kids
In my experience as a class teacher, I have found that most kids love to be able to use their imagination and are very good at it. So, for those kids who are able to write scripting and gratitude letters are a great way to introduce your kids to mindfulness and manifesting in a fun, yet subtle way.  Having tried it in class as a way to encourage children to free-write I found that they loved the freedom of being able to use their imagination and write without restriction or the added worry of SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar).  Try it for yourself over the Easter holidays and let me know how you get on. ARE YOU READY TO BEGIN?

With all new rituals, it’s good to make a commitment right from the get-go. Decide how many days you will commit to your writing ritual when you’ll do it and how long for (eg: 20 mins). In doing this be sure to be realistic by considering your lifestyle and current commitments so that you can really make the most of your new writing ritual.

Mix it up with other rituals, practices and, of course, the moon phases. By doing this you are able to create a writing ritual that is personal and unique to you. A writing ritual that empowers you, whilst giving voice to the truth and wisdom that lies within you.
