Weekly round-up: New Moon + Free Downloads

Well, we are now moving into a New Moon in the sign of Virgo. Which feels to be a time of closure, letting go and endings. Followed by the prospect of a new beginning or phase of your own personal journey. What that looks like will be very much dependent upon where you are on your journey.

Things that are coming up for me are:

Reflection – Being guided back to this time last year and the plans that were made. Questioning are they still relevant and if not, what needs to change?

Routines – Looking at my daily routines and considering what needs to be tweaked or completely overhauled in order to be more in alignment with myself and forward plans.

What is coming up for you?

Day 4: Crystals + your feminine spirit

One thing I’ve increasingly noticed is the tendency for women to push aside their femininity in order to stay on top of their game at work or simply survive in the workplace. Something that I’ve been guilty of myself. However, as I and many others have learnt, living your life in that way isn’t sustainable. It soon takes its toll on your physically and drains your spirit.

It’s partly due to this that so many women find this burning desire within to quit their jobs or simply find themselves attracted to spirituality, as well as mindful practices.

However, it’s not just the practices and rituals, it’s that opportunity to reconnect with yourself as a woman. Awakening your femininity and embracing all that it means to be the woman that you were created to be.

This full embodiment of the real you is something that many of us strive for, yet do so by focusing on6 all that is outside of ourselves first. Not recognising that it all comes from within first and radiates outwards. Being shown as grace, inner confidence and that illusive glow. Isn’t that what you want to experience and embody?

RECLAIMING YOUR FEMININE SPIRIT

Although all of the crystals we have encountered have touched on aspects of our inner beauty that many of us want to nurture, eg: Self love and confidence. Today’s crystals will focus on reclaiming and fully awakening your femininity.

Moonstone

As it’s name suggests this crystal is aligned with the energy of the moon. So don’t be surprised if you are drawn to Moonstone during your menstrual cycle or at the time of the Full and New Moon. Its also a crystal that connects you to your own femininity, inner goddess and sacred beauty. With many swearing by the benefits of meditating with Moonstone during the time of the Full/New Moon, enhancing your intuition and connection within. What’s more feminine than that?

Garnet

This crystal is perfect for those who are ready to bring their sexy back and unleash their wild spirit. Garnet is a crystal associated with passion and physical love. It also dissolves any blockages in the lower chakras which is where we can often hold onto those feelings and memories that prevent us from fully connecting with ourselves, as well as others.

Labradorite

A stunning stone to look at, Labradorite is considered a ‘magic stone’. A stone that has the ability to re-awaken the magic that lies within you and opens you up to using it in order to manifest, as well as being good luck into your life.

WORKING WITH THE PHASES OF THE MOON

Crystal rituals can be completed at any time, although the Full Moon is particularly potent time to connect with your divine feminine.

This is because the moon is at its fullest and it’s a powerful time to honour all of what your feeling, whilst releasing what is no longer in alignment with the woman you are becoming.

Equally, if you feel drawn, you may want to also work with your divine feminine crystals during a new moon, especially if you wanting to embody new aspects of your personality. Reason being that the new moon is a time of calling in the new and fresh starts.

Incidentally, there is a New Moon next week on June 13th so that’s the perfect time to connect with your feminine crystals.

Cleansing Toolkit: Sage

Sage and the New Moon

Although, the New Moon is a time for setting new intentions, planning new projects and new beginnings I can definitely say that, in the run-up to this New Moon, I am finding that I have more than my fair share of negative energy to transmute and drive out of my physical, spiritual and emotional body.

From my conversations with other women, it would seem that I am not alone with this, as many of you have been experiencing stress, overwhelm, fatigue and sleepless nights, as the first New Moon of 2018 draws closer. All of this can create a feeling of misalignment and I, for one, try my best not to bring this energy to my altar space when writing or setting my New Moon intentions.

Therefore, in the days leading up to the New Moon or on the evening itself I will clear my own energy using Sage, alongside any other rituals and practices that I am guided to. In doing so, I am putting myself in the position where I am most likely to be infusing my New Moon intentions or wish list with positive energy.

Why Sage?

Sage has long since been my go-to tool for removing unwanted and stale energy that has been building up over time, or simply attached itself to me during the day. It’s also a sacred plant that has been used by many ancient and traditional civilizations who would use Sage in rituals and ceremonies in order to heal and purify energy.

What’s great about Sage is that it can be used to clear energy from yourself and your home, especially if you have moved into a new home and want to give it a deep energetic cleanse. It can also be used to cleanse unwanted energy from objects, such as your crystals or crystal jewellery. Essentially, Sage is the perfect addition to your spiritual beauty toolkit and will support you in nourishing your inner beauty too.

How to use Sage

  1. Hold the Sage stick in your hand and set your intention, eg: To clear away unwanted, negative energy from yourself and your space. Light one end of your Sage stick, allowing it to catch fire and burn for several seconds. Once the flame extinguishes gently blow on the lit end to fan the embers.
  2. Begin by clearing your own auric field. I suggest that you start at the top of your head and go down the front of your body, as if you are cutting through energy cords that have attached themselves to your chakras, and travel down to your feet. Continue by wafting the Sage smoke under your feet, down your arms etc.
  3. Move onto ‘Sage-ing’ your space, beginning at the door and going around the door frame.
  4. Work through the room paying attention to corners and other dark corners which is where energy can get trapped. As you do this visualise or say a mantra that supports you in holding the intention for “clearing out the negative, stale energy and restoring positive balance energy”.
  5. Finally, extinguish the Sage by safely snuffing it out in a fireproof container.

Alternatives to Sage

I love the smell of Sage yet there are times when the smell can be overwhelming so you may want to try these alternative herbs:

  • Palo Santo: aka ‘Holy wood’ – relaxing, cleansing, healing and calming.
  • Frankincense: Connects you with Source energy, ease stress and anxiety, protection and cleansing.
  • Selenite: aka ‘Liquid Light’ – cleansing, connecting you to Source energy, protective. Find out how to cleanse your aura with Selenite.

Magical New Moon Manifesting

1149911_S

Each month during the new moon phase you are gifted with the opportunity to begin again and plant the seeds of your beautiful intentions. In the lead up to the new moon, you are greeted by the waning moon who invites you to pause and release any pent-up energy that will not serve you. From here the moon waxes and moves into the new moon phase which is the time when it is ripe for you to set your new intentions or simply give yourself an energetic reboot if you are working towards the manifestation of a bigger dream.

Clarity is key when setting your new intentions. However, if you ate struggling in the darkness it may be a luxury that alludes you at this time. In the absence of a trusted coach, psychic or friend, buddy up with your crystal ally: Clear Quartz. This beautiful crystal offers clarity and insight, shining a light in even the darkest of tunnels. If you need to then take the time to step back to rest, find peace within and balance before setting your intentions. It’s often tempting to go from one thing to another yet if your body is saying “no” and your mind is frazzled, then the gift of rest can be the exact tonic that you need.

What to do
Find a space where you will not be disturbed. Turn off your phone and eliminate all distractions. Create the vibe that you want with music, candles and incense – whatever works best for you.

Light your sage and cleanse yourself, as well as your space. When you do this allow yourself to be guided to the spaces and areas that need the most energy clearing. You could also do this through prayer and intention, if Sage is not your thing.

Welcome God, the Angels or your spirit guides into your space. You don’t need a script or any special words, all you need to do is speak from your heart.

Centre yourself through your heart, with your breath. Breathing into your heart space until you feel relaxed and calm. Connecting to your heart will support you in setting intentions from this space, rather than over-thinking and going into your ego.

In your journal write your goals, dreams and intentions. What it is that you want to experience and feel. Do so in the first person, ideally using “I am” statements, and really tune into the energy of what it will feel like living the life, as well as having what you desire. Eg: I am enjoying my new job because I am working for a down-to-earth, kind and compassionate boss who is so supportive.

Hold your candle in your hand and dedicate it to manifesting your intentions and what you want to experience into reality. Light the candle and spend some time visualising your intentions, goals and dreams manifesting into form.

Before you snuff out your candle be sure to thank your spiritual team for their divine guidance, love and protection.

Re-light the candle whenever you feel drawn too and repeat the visualisation process.

And that’s it. Remember to honour where you are at and release whatever resistance you feel coming up in relation to the manifestation of your dreams, goals and intentions. This can be done in whatever way feels right for you, be it reiki healing, prayer or coaching. In doing so, you clear the space for what you want and deserve to have in your life, as well as being the amazing woman you were created to be. May you enjoy your new moon ritual.
