How do you let go of someone you love?

Let Go, Break-ups

At the time of a Full Moon we often talk about letting go.

Releasing people, things and situations that you feel or know are no longer supporting you in manifesting your dreams into reality. Or, indeed, do not support you in becoming the person who is living the life that you are wanting to align with.

But, how easy is it to just let go?

How easy is it to let go of a relationship and ex that you love, as well invested time and energy into?

How easy is it to let go of a painful memory or experience from your past? Maybe even one that dates back to your childhood.

I know that it’s not always that easy.

Even with the cord cutting meditations, forgiveness practices and ‘letting go’ rituals available via Google, YouTube….. Still some people struggle with letting go and releasing, especially when it comes to love. Letting go for a short while only to fall right back into the arms of that lover and into the familiar chaos.

What’s up with that, huh?

Well, from both my own experience and that of others I’ve noticed a few things that hold people back. So, let me share them with you.

1. You don’t let go of love

When people let go they think this means letting go of the love. The thing is: Can you ever let go of what you perceive to be true and/or unconditional love?

What tends to have the tightest grip is attachment to the experience and the perceived outcome that you believe arises from letting go. (PAUSE. Take that in for a moment.)

This might include:

  • Being single for ever
  • What people might say
  • That person meeting someone else first
  • The regret or shame

Experiences are a natural part of life. With each one and each personal encounter being an opportunity for growth, blessings and new learning. This is what I’ve found often leads us to aligning with what we want, who is truly for us and our best selves.

2. Your motivation

Let’s be real. Sometimes people hold on for selfish reasons. Reasons that are motivated by fear, lack, scarcity or control. All of which are the total opposite of love.

Be honest about why you are holding on and ask yourself if this is really an expression of love.

3. You are not a victim

When faced with the situation of having to let go some people start asking questions such as:

  • Why me?
  • Why is this happening to me?
  • Why can’t I be lucky/find love?
  • What’s wrong with me?

These questions are natural at first yet I’ve found that it doesn’t help to dwell on them. Why? Because you tend to plunge yourself further down into the rabbit hole.

Three questions to ask instead would be:

  • How does it serve me to hold on?
  • How does if serve me to let go?
  • Which brings me to closer to my Divine purpose?

Notice the difference in the energy of these questions and how empowering they have the potential to be.

Letting go is often a process and not something that happens overnight.

Give yourself time and space.

Connect with your mentors, coaches and guides who can often give you fresh perspective or wisdom because they are not in your situation.

Use the guidance that comes through with discernment.

Trust and have faith that you’ll bloom from the experience. Stronger, wiser, more loving and beautiful than before.

Why you keep attracting the ‘wrong’ guys or the same crappy relationships

In this blog post I want to address an issue that many people struggle with and ask me about all the time:

Why do I keeep attracting the same guys or types of relationships?

And this was something that I struggled with for a long, long time. Yet when I came to and was guided to some of the realisations that I’ll share in this post it helped me to shift my perspective. Which helped me in not falling into the same patterns and having to go back to square one in terms of healing, aligning and attracting what I want.

So, in sharing I’m hoping that it will help you in some way too and get you aligned with experiencing the love you want.

1. Stop labelling them as the ‘wrong’ man
In the world of spirituality, energy and law of attraction there is no real wrong or right. Yet there are many lessons and blessings. For every relationship that hasn’t ended with ‘happily ever after’ there will be a lesson and blessing to be savioured from it. For every man who has abandoned you, cheated on you or let you down there will be more lessons and blessings to be gained.

It’s up to you to find them.

It could be that you found your own strength, fell back in love with you, started a new hobby that became a successful business, discovered the power of forgiveness or taught you the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries.

The bottom line is when you set an intention to attract your true love, your soul and all of your spiritual team may have to show you your barriers to love first. Once you overcome those barriers you get to align, receive and enjoy.

2. Time to change the record
What record about love, relationships and men are you playing on repeat in your mind or aloud amongst your girlfriends over wine on a Friday night?

You’ll know what your record is by the way in which you:

Talk about men, love and relationships
React or respond when you see loved up couples or hear someone is dating someone new

The thoughts and responses that you have are all very, very telling about how you truly feel about your chances of being in a loving, happy and committed relationship with the man of your dreams.

This is important to know when it comes to the mind because they say that your mind cannot hold conflicting thoughts, stories and beliefs. That which has the weakest vibration will be cancelled out by the one with the dominant vibration. So, if you think and feel you are not good enough and all men are cheating bastards, yet say you want to meet ‘the one’. Which thought do you think carries the most weight?

3. Holding on to the past
I see it a lot and am guilty of having done this myself. It’s something that’s easily done especially when you’ve invested time and energy into a relationship, or when it’s been a while since you met someone whose sparked a light within. However, when the spark has gone or when the relationship is dead, it’s important to find a way to let it all go.

Holding onto the past equates to holding onto old energy. Energy that’s ready to be released. I learned the hard way that until I energetically let go and made up my mind to move on, I would play the going back and forth game much longer than needed.

Sometimes the new and the better relationship + person, are right there for you yet whilst you’re holding on you won’t see it. There are times that even when you do see it you fail to appreciate it or you pick faults where there are none. Unintentionally, talking yourself out of the relationship you’ve been dreaming of.

4. Check the company you keep
Carrying on from letting go, you may find that some people in your circle need to be added to the list.

Yep, the sad truth is: Not everyone is for you!

If you are rolling with people who are constantly male-bashing, don’t clap when you win, seldom ask how you are but happily moan about their own life or constantly repeat BS cycles in love and life, decide if you want to be hanging with them every weekend.

IThe people in your circle should be supportive. They should have your back and want to see you win. Being inspired and uplifted goes a long way too.

Notice who’s there for you and don’t be afraid to make some edits. If only for a specific period of time.

5. How you feel about yourself matters
How you truly feel about yourself often resonates on the outside and the way that you treat yourself. It also has an impact on what and who you attract, as well as what you entertain or put up with too.

When you are investing in yourself and naturally feeling good you are not going to want anyone killing your vibe. Therefore, you’ll be more discerning about the relationships you get into and the men you engage with. In fact, I’ve found that when I started investing in me it was much easier to separate the boys from the potential kings.

So, what can you do to invest in how you look and feel from the inside out?

This might involve making changes to your morning routine, such as introducing gratitude, prayer, meditation and mirror work. Alternatively, you may want to do more outer beauty work to raise your vibe, such as changing your eating habits, hitting the gym, updating your wardrobe or experimenting with colour in your beauty routine. Maybe it’s a combination of inner and outer beauty.

Whatever it is make sure that your attention and intention revolves around you. Raising your own vibration so that you feel and look amazing from the inside out.

Once you notice your patterns and habits you have the opportunity to make a different choice.

People of all kinds will still be attracted to you. However, with wisdom, awareness and discernment you can make smarter (for want of a better word) decisions about who you get into a relationship with. After all, it is you who choose what and who you entertain and for how long. Don’t prolong the lesson and starve yourself of the ultimate blessing that your heart desires.

Heart + Self Healing

Self and heart healing

I came to self and heart healing almost a decade ago. Like many, it was a time in my life where I felt as if my heart had broken into a million pieces. Not yet recognising that rock bottom would be the place where a new, better version of me and embodiment of love would be created.

Maybe as you read this now you are in the midst of your own heartbreak. Experiencing sadness, pain, loss, resentment or anger and feeling as if there is no hope for you where matters of the heart are concerned. Whereas I won’t tell you how to think and feel, I can share with you some insight into heart and self-healing. Doing so, with the intention to inspire you to take those tentative steps towards self and heart healing, as I did 10 years ago.

HEART RESEARCH + THE ANCIENTS

Heart Healing meditation

The mind is given much kudos for being a driving force in supporting you to manifest your intentions into your life. With little regard given to the heart. In fact, being heart centred or focusing upon your heart is considered wishy-washy or irrelevant.

However, recent research has shown that the heart is effectively like the second brain. Holding within it much wisdom alongside the memories and feelings of yesteryear. Due to its strong electromagnetic field (5,000 times stronger than the brain), whatever you feel within your heart can be felt by other people several feet away.

It is this very idea of the heart as such a powerful organ of the body that has been echoed throughout time, namely by the Ancient Egyptians.

During funeral ceremonies, the heart would be the only organ not removed because it was revered as being the throne of wisdom, where thoughts and emotions resided.

As for the brain. Well, that was the only organ that would be removed because it was considered to have no real significance.

So, what does this have to do with heart healing and feeling better after experiencing heartache or pain?

When you think about love where do you commonly feel the expansion of energy?

In your heart.

When you split with an ex or pine for an ex-lover, where do you feel the tight and contracted energy?

In your heart.

So much of what is felt emanates from the heart. This is great when you feel good, happy, joyful and all loved up.

I mean think about the meaning that life takes on, all the synchronicity you experience and your ability to bounce back when the heart is expanded.

This is in contrast to the lack of clarity and victim thinking of “Why me?” Which is often followed up with that feeling of being stuck and unlucky in love.

From this simple explanation alone it becomes apparent that the energy emanating from your heart (based on your thoughts and emotions) has an impact on your energy field. Therefore an impact on what you invite into your energy and your life.

By clearing your heart of the energy of fear, lack, pain, anger, scarcity….. you release yourself from the burden of the past. In doing so, healing your heart and increasing the probability of aligning with your true soul-inspired intentions.

It is common that when heart healing is activated the connection between the Divinity and wisdom that lies within is amplified. A concept that has long since been echoed by mystics and spiritual teachers from different world religions. Each one believing that the soul, the Divine or the Buddha-like self resides within the chambers of the heart.

From my own personal practice of self and heart healing, I’ve noticed this to be true. Whilst also finding that my alignment increases when engaging my heart. In fact, on one occasion, I recall overriding the doubt of the mind by engaging from the heart and manifested a miracle healing in less than 24 hours.

A HEART HEALING MEDITATION

Healing the Heart meditation

This meditation has it’s origins in Tantra and is a powerful way to release heavy feelings from your heart.

A simple meditation that engages both the mind and the heart. It has been known to move people to tears (myself included) as the energies leave the body. Whilst you focus on replacing this heavy energy with unconditional love.

ANGELIC REIKI

Angelic Reiki Healing with Chanel Marie

I’ve seen and personally experienced profound shifts from Angelic Reiki sessions. Especially as clients start to release that energy that has left them feeling heavy from within.

My own personal experience evoked memories from the past (and past lives), something that isn’t uncommon. However, rather than getting caught up and lost in the story of that memory, I found it brought understanding that had been missing. Thus, closure on a repetitive relationship and cycle, simply by observing, releasing and replacing with unconditional love.

ROSE QUARTZ

Rose Quartz is famed for being the love crystal. The Crystal that you pop into your bra, adorn yourself with or add to a crystal elixir when you want to attract love into your life. However, it’s way more powerful than that.

Vibrating at the frequency of unconditional love working with Rose Quartz will reveal, one by one, anything within or without which is not in alignment with its vibration. Therefore, making it an excellent crystal to work with when you know within that you are ready to dissolve your barriers to love.

Thankfully, the energy of Rose Quartz is gentle and soothing. So, although what is revealed might be a hard pill to swallow the soothing energy of Rose Quartz can support and guide you to refuel yourself with unconditional love.

Communicating with Mother Mary

Mother Mary
Unconditional love. Compassion. Forgiveness. Heart Healing. Protector of women.

Heal your thoughts and heart back to love by connecting with the beautiful, nurturing energy of Mother Mary.

Connecting with Saints came very out of the blue for me. Although I grew up in a Christian/Spiritual household, it never dawned on me that I would connect with Saints in readings and healing sessions.

I never call in Mother Mary or any other Saint specifically. My way is that I simply allow whatever light being who wants to step forward to do so and bring guidance and healing through me.

This has always been the case when working with Mother Mary whereby I find that she will connect with me or clients I am working with, in the following situations:

  • Healing their heart after a break-up
  • Reinventing yourself after ending a love affair
  • Supporting you to open your heart to love
  • Appearing before you are to meet a new partner
  • Forgiving yourself and others

I find that she mostly works alone. Always with the intention of bringing the vibration of love to the forefront and supporting you to access the love and divinity within. Even if that means bringing your barriers to love to your awareness.

However, there have been times when I have connected with her, only to feel the energy of Mother Teresa and receive additional guidance from Princess Diana. All 3 being women who are known for working from the heart and showing compassion for others.

HOW TO CONNECT WITH MOTHER MARY

Most people who connect with Mother Mary have found that they have been able to do so since childhood, that the connection comes out of the blue or they feel drawn to her.

You can simply pray to her for guidance, yet some like to create a weekly or daily ritual of connecting with Mother Mary. Dedicating a specific day and time to do this

Either way, it’s best to come with an open heart and mind.

Some suggestions for your ritual kit

  • Mother Mary Candle. In the absence of such a candle, you could opt for a Pink candle (love + healing) or a white candle (healing + purification). The candle represents the 4 elements of Earth (the candle), fire (the flame), water (melting wax) and air (the ether in which yoir prayer and positive intentions will be moving through). It’s also a lovely way to open the gateway between you and Mother Mary.
  • Rose Quartz/Bracelet with Mother Mary charm (optional) – Rose Quartz is known as the stone of unconditional love. It helps to open the heart again to giving and receiving love, as well dissolve barriers to love.
  • Mother Mary prayer card. Carry your prayer card (and crystal) with you as a divine reminder of the positive intentions laid out in your prayer to Mother Mary.

Prayer from the heart. Remember to always keep your intentions and prayer requests positive and good.

When working with Saints or when setting a new intention I like to have, what I refer to as Divine Reminders, with me throughout my day. These Divine Reminders might take the form of a crystal, prayer card, affirmation on my phone or charm bracelet.

I find these Divine Reminders really useful, especially at those times when I feel out of alignment, irritated or frustrated by a thought or something that has happened in my day. Catching sight of the Divine Reminder helps to remind me of the intention that I am working towards and I have the choice to surrender to realign or stay in my low vibrational state.

So, if you feel guided or drawn to call on Mother Mary to support you in heart healing, forgiveness and opening up to unconditional love.

Intention and an open heart are all you really need. When you are in this space of being open to receiving and truly connected to your own Divinity within you are better able to receive guidance, discern your surroundings, make informed decisions and become aware of the love around and within you.

What’s your experience of Mother Mary? Which Saint is one of your favourites to connect with?

The Art of Letting Go: Why I stopped cutting cords + what I do instead

chanelmarie.co.uk

Before discovering Angelic Reiki I had practised cord cutting. Using it to support me in detaching myself energetically from a soulmate relationship and person that simply wasn’t right for me.

I must have completed this practice a dozen times or more. Yet every time I found myself going back to the soulmate or repeating the same patterns with a different person. Each time the experience would be more challenging and painful than the last. Which meant that I was in this cycle of continually cutting the cords. However, when I became an Angelic Reiki practitioner I discovered key elements of the core removal process that changed everything.

WHAT I NOTICED

During Angelic Reiki healing sessions I would often see AA Michael and the Angels removing the cords one by one, rather than cutting them. What I also noticed is that some of these cords were really long and thick, suggesting that the energy within had built up over time. In fact, what I learnt is that some of these cords went back to past lifetime.

Once the cords had been removed the space they had occupied would often be cleansed of any remaining, unwanted energy. The area would be sealed with light and throughout the process, I would often be given some insight into the:

  • Energy
  • Root cause
  • People
  • Feelings

Some of these roots will have gone back to situations or people in the past, including past lives, childhood and teenage years. All of which gave a clear indication of what needed to be released in order to facilitate the healing and letting go process.

WHAT I LEARNED

Removing cords

Removing the cord from the root helps to identify the root cause. That is the place where the thought, behaviour and pattern were first formed. Now, sometimes this is very obvious and is something that you are consciously aware of. However, there are times when the root cause of an issue you are dealing with is not blatantly obvious, eg: soulmate relationships or money issues.

In getting to the heart of the issue you can then take responsibility for your own growth and movement forward. Taking action on changing those behaviours, stories, beliefs that have kept you in a cycle or situation that doesn’t serve you.

Divine light + positivity

In sealing the space with Divine light and love this was a way of cleansing the space, removing any excess unwanted energy. I found this supportive in facilitating the healing process, especially when the cords have been attached for some time.

The additional benefit is that it sets a new foundation that can be built upon. That is built upon using energy: thoughts, desires and behaviours, that are positively aligned with what you want to experience. It’s really like a closing a door to the old and the creation of the new. Yet, this requires you to be conscious and aware to ensure you are not simply filling the space with more of the old.

Awareness, intuition and responsibility

Healing is a practice that requires you to show up and use your own awareness in order to facilitate that healing process. Your awareness is especially important during those times when healing may feel challenging and when you are tempted to just slip back into old ways.  This requires you to use your awareness to notice where energy cords are attached that no longer serve you or are draining you. It also means that noticing when you are slipping into old patterns and cycles. Then use wisdom, tools and the gift of your intuition to guide you towards making healthier, life-affirming choices.

WHAT NEXT?

Now, many people will have their own way of removing cords and, as I always say: If that works for you then keep going with it. However, there will be some people who, like me, find that simply cutting the cord wasn’t helpful. If this is you then if it resonates then try working with AA Michael to remove the cord from the root and make a commitment to really showing up for yourself, as well as your healing.

Keep in touch and let me know how it goes.

With love xo

Day 1: Rose Quartz

Loving yourself and feeling confident in your own skin are key aspects of sacred beauty. It promotes healthy self-esteem and a sense of self-worth that comes from within. Meaning that you don’t feel the need to look for validation from others or feel the need to change in order to fit in, be accepted or feel loved.

Yet, in today’s modern world this isn’t always easy. Pressure from social media, magazines and celeb culture can often leave women feeling like they have to conform to be beautiful. And let’s not forget the pain and anguish that comes from heartbreak, bullying and other soul-destroying situations, which can leave you feeling un-pretty, unworthy and less than in so many ways.

Whilst there are many methods that can be used to heal and move beyond these feelings there are little gems from the Earth which, if used alongside these methods, can give your healing a little energetic boost.

These gems are crystals, with Rose Quartz being the perfect crystal for all things sacred beauty and love related.

LOVE + ROSE QUARTZ:

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

Don’t forget to fall in love with yourself first.” – Carrie Bradshaw

Rose Quartz is one of those crystals which can be hugely underestimated. It’s often thought of that crystal that helps us to attract the lover of our dreams. Yet it is so much more than this. In fact, before it even draws the love another close it will show you all the ways that you need to love yourself first!

This candy pink gemstone is a nurturing stone. A stone of compassion and unconditional love. Making it a beautiful companion during times of heartache or pain, including period pain. As it’s soothing, healing and energy of unconditional love it works to dissolve those barriers of pain, sadness and fear.

HOW TO MAKE ROSE QUARTZ PART OF YOUR DAILY LIFE

There are many different ways to make this crystal part of your everyday life. For example, it’s believed that the Goddess Aphrodite used to place Rose Quartz in her bath so that the loving energy of the crystal could be absorbed into her body and energy field. This way of working with crystals has been adopted by many modern sacred beauties, like you and I. It’s certainly a beautiful way to relax at the end of a stressful day. I can vouch for that.

One way that I make Rose Quartz part of my day is by keeping a small selection of tumbled stones in a glass bowl on my dressing table. This helps to hold the vibration of unconditional love, self-love and beauty as I apply my makeup. It’s also a personal reminder for me too.

As Rose Quartz resonates with the heart chakra it makes sense to place it over your heart chakra during meditation. This can have the effect of opening the heart of receive love whilst also promoting relaxation. You might like to try this heart-centred meditation.

Alternatively, you may simply wish to wear your Rose Quartz in your bra, so it’s close to your heart space or adorns your wrist with a beautiful Rose Quartz bracelet. How you choose to connect with and work with your crystal is entirely up to you.

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE ROSE QUARTZ PART OF YOUR LIFE?

Loving yourself, recognising your own beauty and being confident in your own skin are essential ingredients for Sacred Beauty. So, if you could with a little support in this area Rose Quartz can be a great tool to work with. Using it alongside affirmations, meditation, Angelic Reiki or other forms of self-development as it helps to amplify the energy of your intention.

If you are thinking of or already do work with Rose Quartz I’d love to hear from you. Comment below and I’ll respond to your comment.

Look forward to hearing your experiences.
